Our Story
In May of 2018, The Salon moved to it's new and current location on Third Street, downtown Grand Haven. The Salon was established in 1981 and has been a staple in the community since!
We are a full service salon for men, women and children. Our highly trained and experienced staff has attended trade shows in Michigan, Ohio, Chicago, New York, and Las Vegas.
Owner Rachel Jakubiec, along with her dedicated team, aim to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Rachel Jakubiec
Owner & Stylist
I was born and raised in Grand Haven. I attended the Careerline Tech Center in Holland, Mi for my cosmetology education. After State Boards I was lucky enough to get a job at The Salon in Grand Haven where I worked as an employee for 21 years before purchasing The Salon in 2015. I pride myself in providing great service to my clients. I enjoy doing cuts, color, pedicures, nails and a variety of other salon services. Kirsten Reichel
Receptionist
I enjoy my job as receptionist at The Salon, greeting and chatting with our clients. I am a native of Muskegon and graduated from WMU. My family enjoys living in Spring Lake.
Marjolein Moser
Stylist
I have over 35 years of experience in hairdressing, ranging from working behind the chair to educating stylists during my 10 years as a creative and educational director for Vidal Sassoon in both the United States and Germany.
